Wreath Laying Ceremony In Honor of the 75th Anniversary of the WW II Liberation of GuamWashington, D.C., July 16, 2019 – A solemn wreath laying ceremony was held today at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington Cemetery, Virginia, to honor the 75th Anniversary of the World War II Liberation of Guam. Congressman Michael F. Q. San Nicholas of Guam and Congressman Gregory “Kilili” Sablan of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI) led the ceremony in laying the wreath. A handful of Guamanians also graced the event. Donned in colorful Chamorro attire, they had traveled from afar to D.C. to participate at the ceremony. |
