The Embassy wishes to remind all FSM citizens throughout the United States mainland, Hawaii, Guam, CNMI and all U.S. jurisdictions that the threat of COVID-19 still exists and still prevalent in many U.S. States and jurisdictions. As such, the Embassy again would like to take this opportunity to appeal to all FSM citizens throughout the country to adhere to CDC guidelines on Personal and Social Activities. The CDC website outlines What You Need to Know and other pertinent information on How to Protect Yourself and Others. As there is currently no vaccine yet to prevent the virus, going out or engaging in public activities increases the risk of contracting and spreading the virus. Please remember to wear a mask, practice social distance, and practice proper health hygiene if it’s absolutely necessary to go out.
The following links will direct you to the CDC website’s guidelines on its efforts to Plan, Prevent, and Response to COVID-19. The Embassy urges all FSM citizens to take the time to visit these links and share with those that are unable to access the information. It is of the utmost importance that citizens continue to minimize or avoid large gatherings, public outings, or participate in competitive sport activities.
