Notice for the Citizens of the Federated States of Micronesia Residing in the United States of America17 Feb 2017 It has been widely reported in news outlets and social media that the administration of President Donald Trump is considering a new or separate Executive Order entitled "Protecting Taxpayer Resources by Ensuring Our Immigration Laws Promote Accountability and Responsibility." If passed, the reported draft text, among other things, would make lawful permanent residents already in the United States vulnerable to deportation in some circumstances if they use federal-means tested public benefits or are on "welfare" assistance. |
